Hoza invented a smart solution for the ergonomic transport of post crates and bags. This product named ‘Desserte’, is a custom-made trolley for La Poste, emphasizing ergonomics and user-friendliness.

French postal company La Poste set out a broad request: ‘invent a smart solution’. One of the conditions was that the mailman/woman should be able to transport four post crates with this trolley. In response, Hoza developed the smart Desserte. The outstanding feature of this product is its manageable and flexible way of moving, due to the four braking caster wheels, which are made from vulcanised rubber, preventing the trolley from making a lot of noise during movement. 

The Desserte possesses an adjustable push bar, and is provided with automatic level adjustment allowing the crate to always be at the correct working height. Unlike former days, when bending over and reaching was just part of the job, operators are now always in the correct work posture, with a straight back. This results in less absenteeism through illness and a more pleasant work environment.

By inventing the Desserte, Hoza has realised a product that is cheap, light, user-friendly and sturdy. In this case, a simple solution turned out to be the best. We were able to achieve this by taking a critical look at ourselves, and ask how we could design a manageable, better and cheaper product – and we did.
