A large European bank was looking for a means of conveyance for transporting banknotes both between and inside its bank establishments. Such a product has to meet many requirements, since it always concerns valuable shipments. Except for a sturdy appearance and the usual ‘heavy’ duty’ features, it also has to excel in practical deployability and efficiency.
As the Banknote Trolley will be manually moved on a regular basis, it was an important condition to develop a light weight product. This specific demand could be met by mainly constructing the Trolley from aluminum. To also meet the security requirements, the parts that make up the locking mechanisms together with the door hinges are made from steel.
This Banknote Trolley has a capacity of 12 tamper-proof plastic banknote trays, in which the banknotes are transported. These trays can be closed by means of security seals, they are provided with a special closing-mechanism and can be provided with a barcode on the front end. Subsequently, these barcodes can be easily read through the closed doors, because the doors have been perforated on exactly those places.
The trolley has been fitted with user-friendly wheels, that not only guarantee a supple movement but also provide considerable sound attenuation. Moreover, the trolleys are also equipped with a foot-brake that is easily accessible. It becomes clear that these simple but effective handling methods have a very positive influence on the physical strain that is put on the banks’ employees.
Furthermore, it is possible to connect several trolleys to one another, allowing a number of trolleys to be moved simultaneously. This allows faster and less labour-intensive movement to take place, which benefits the overall efficiency within the company’s logistic process.
After a thorough testing period Hoza has been able to develop a product, which meets all the specific demands that are currently required in the banking industry. Thanks to the materials that were applied, a long lifespan can be guaranteed. Last but not least, we can proudly state that all the materials and parts that were used for the construction of the Banknote Trolley have a 100% reusability rate.
